Contracted Study: An Examination of Florida's Prison Population Trends

Report 17-CRJ, May 2017

Report Summary

The 2016 General Appropriations Act appropriated funding for a consultant's review of adult criminal justice system data. As directed by the Legislature, OPPAGA conducted an open procurement process and awarded the contract to The Crime and Justice Institute of Community Resources for Justice, an organization which provides public safety research and consulting services. The review provides data on Florida's adult criminal justice system, including information on sentencing, incarceration, and recidivism trends.
