OPPAGA is an ideal setting for gaining hands-on experience in policy analysis and working on a wide range of issues of interest to the Florida Legislature. OPPAGA provides an opportunity to work in a legislative policy research offices with a highly qualified, multidisciplinary staff that includes public administrators, social scientists, accountants, MBA graduates, and others.
Graduate assistants work side-by-side with our professional staff on research projects. Mentoring and professional development opportunities are part of the work experience.
Students who have completed at least one year in a research-oriented graduate level program are encouraged to apply.
Academic year part-time paid positions work for 25 hours per week on a schedule that is mutually acceptable to the student and the office.
Summer graduate research assistants work full-time for about 13 weeks.
