  • total operating costs for 21 statewide information and referral services were $6.8 million;
  • total operating costs for 127 regional information and referral services were $7.7 million;
  • one-half of statewide information and referral services use automated sources of information and one-half of regional information and referral services use hard copy sources of information to provide the public with services; and
  • staff spent more than 787,000 hours to provide information and referral services, with 92% of staff hours being provided by paid rather than volunteer staff.
