Summary Review of Enterprise Florida

Report 95-17, December 1995

Report Summary

This report is a summary of OPPAGA's conclusions and observations regarding Enterprise Florida. OPPAGA concluded that while it was too early to make conclusive judgments regarding Enterprise Florida's outcomes, each of its programs needed to improve their performance measures. OPPAGA observed that Enterprise Florida appeared to have potential to benefit the state, and had some success in involving Florida business leaders and in leveraging private sector financial support. However, Enterprise Florida needed to exercise stronger oversight of its affiliated partnerships and help them identify and overcome problems in implementing their programs.
