Performance Audit of the Division of Economic Crime Within the Department of Legal Affairs , Report No. 94-05, September 1994

  • The Division of Economic Crime settlement agreement process does not provide evidence to ensure that all information was considered during negotiations nor that the information presented to the Attorney General was complete.
  • Although the Division produces various internal reports to provide operations information to the Attorney General, the Division does not report data on its activities to other interested parties such as the Legislature. As a result, neither the Legislature nor the general public has information regarding the effectiveness of the Division in prosecuting economic crime in Florida.
